As a result of a large-scale accident, according to the latest data, one person died and five more received various injuries. The accident happened after two trucks collided on a snowy road.
In Russia, there was a massive accident, 42 cars collided. One person died, five were injured and were hospitalized. Previously, it all started with a collision of two trucks on the snow-covered federal highway M-11 “Neva”, after which cars began to drive into them. The traffic jam stretched for several kilometers. The route to Moscow is blocked. Fontanka writes about it.

“A four-kilometer traffic jam has formed on the M-11 highway. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the trucks cannot turn around. Now there are already 42 cars involved in the accident. Documents are being processed, it will take a long time, because there are many participants in the accident,” the press service UGIBDD UMVD of Russia in the Novgorod region. Until all participants in the accident are registered by traffic inspectors, the highway will not be opened.
Traffic on the federal highway in the direction of Moscow is blocked, a multi-kilometer traffic jam has formed on the highway. A detour was organized along other roads, but now traffic jams have formed there too. Because those roads are also not cleared of snow.
It is noteworthy, but most of the cars involved in an accident are on Moscow license plates, according to eyewitnesses.
