The Artcurial house is selling a unique collection of around a hundred vehicles. It is mainly composed of French and popular youngtimers!
The famous Artcurial house will offer for sale, only online, a hundred youngtimers from November 4 to 22. They all come from one and the same collection: that of Richard Romagny. This entrepreneur, rally-raid pilot is also a big automobile fan.
A very personal collection
The collection is mainly made up of French models dating from the 70s and 80s. Artcurial explains that Richard Romagny wanted “to bring together all the cars he loved in his childhood and adolescence”. This is how we find many CXs, which was his father’s car, or a Simca 1100, which was his first car. The current owner explains the presence of DS in his collection is to pay tribute to the hydraulic suspension, “The best of French technology”.
All the cars present are in perfect condition. Mr. Romagny indeed looked for cars that were only 1st, or even 2nd hand, very few kilometers and still in excellent original condition.
Some Germans
In addition to the popular French, there are also some Mercedes (for him “the pinnacle of the German automobile industry”) with in particular a 280 SL from 1968 estimated between € 60,000 and € 80,000, and an 190 SL from 1959 whose estimate exceeds 100,000 €.
A Land Cruiser ready for the rally-raid
Some American cars are also on sale (Cadillac Eldorado, Corvette C3 Pace Car …) as well as many motorcycles. If you are an adventure lover, you will also find theand Land Cruiser with which Richard Romagny participated, alone, at Paris-Dakkar in 1999 before returning to the table in 2003.
