The founder of the Croatian company Rimac, Mate Rimak, told reporters about his plans for the recently acquired hypercar manufacturer Bugatti. He does not rule out the appearance of a crossover or “majestic coupe” with a long bonnet under the Rimac Bugatti brand.

Well, the French brand is now in an alliance with electric hypercar expert Rimac Automobili, and this unexpected association opens up opportunities for extreme projects. Mate Rimac, CEO of the newly created Bugatti Rimac, spoke in a recent interview about “how the future of Bugatti will be shaped beyond the Chiron.”
The man behind the Rimac Nevera electric hypercar, the world’s fastest production car, says he “can do something crazy” as he seeks to expand Bugatti’s horizons to more than just two-seater hypercars.
The 33-year-old executive does not rule out the appearance of a majestic coupe with a long bonnet or even a crossover. The latter is frankly not too surprising given that most high-end brands have been tempted to make their own crossover.
The Croatian innovator and businessman went on to say that the future model could be “something completely insane that no one thinks about.” There seems to be no limit when it comes to how the French brand will develop in the post-Chiron era, when Mate said that “we can do so much for our brand with the expertise of Bugatti engineers.” Needless to say, the use of know-how How Rimac is in the field of electric vehicles is only a matter of time.
Mate aims to diversify the Bugatti family in the same vein as in the automaker’s golden era in the early 1900s. According to an interview in early July, Meit Rimak said that the all-electric Rimac Bugatti model will be launched before the end of the decade, and it will be an exclusive product and not a renamed version of the current Nevera. In addition, a hybrid internal combustion engine is being developed for a selected model.
