On Thursday August 5th, Hyundai unveiled official images of its new large Hyundai Custo minivan. The novelty received its name in honor of the famous traveler Jacques Yves Cousteau.
JV Beijing Hyundai Motor has developed a new minivan Hyundai Custo specially for the Chinese auto market, the design of which was finally declassified in the official photos.
The novelty will receive an expressive appearance and a comfortable three-row interior. The seven-seater version will go on sale first, followed by a more luxurious six-seater version. Here, in the second row, there will be separate “captain’s” chairs with armrests.
The length of the new minivan is 4.95 meters with a wheelbase of just over 3.05 meters. It is much more compact than its co-platform Kia Carnival, whose length exceeds 5.15 meters.
Inside the minivan there is a virtual “tidy”, multimedia with a large vertical touchscreen, a floating console between the front seats with a compartment for small items and more.
The Hyundai Custo engine range includes two petrol “turbo-fours” for one and a half and two liters, producing 170 and 236 horsepower, respectively. The drive is exclusively front, and the transmission is “automatic” in eight steps. The cost of the novelty is still kept secret. The new Korean minivan, most likely, will not reach us.
Meanwhile, it became known that Infiniti may abandon the production of the Infiniti Q60 Coupe in 2023. The reason is the continuing decline in sales of the premium coupe.
