The new generation Lexus NX crossover will be presented next Saturday, June 12. We learned about this thanks to the first teaser of the novelty with the image of the stern of the premium crossover. A new teaser image shows us the stylish profile of the Lexus NX, although all curious details have been left darkened. Working with the brightness of the photo did not give visible results.
Recall that the NX crossover debuted back in 2015, and, with the exception of a small update in 2018, the model continues to be sold without a major upgrade. Do not wait for noticeable external changes after the change of generation: the SUV will retain its lush proportions with the same bold radiator grille. This was hinted at in a video leaked online in February. The Japanese are still keeping the interior a secret.
Most likely, another teaser of the new Lexus NX is waiting for us before the official debut. Moreover, experts expect that the car interior will change more dramatically. So, the new product is expected to have a grown multimedia touchscreen, as well as a minimalistic design and ergonomics thought out to the smallest detail.
The new NX is expected to share the platform with the Toyota RAV4. So it is likely that some transmission options will be carried over.
For example, Toyota’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine could be the base for the NX. And the new cross could also borrow a hybrid installation from the co-platform, like on the RAV4 Prime. Up to a hundred such a SUV accelerates in less than 6 seconds.
