Car and horse-riding enthusiasts, but above all all the curious, had an appointment this Sunday, at the foot of the Invalides this Sunday morning, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Indeed, Renault was organizing a unique and totally unusual event, the Renault Electro Horse Parade. A great parade bringing together no less than 220 horses, which covered the 400 meters of Avenue Gallieni, between the Invalides and the Alexandre III bridge. More than 5,000 spectators, young and old, were present and were able to attend this superb show, free and open to all, in an obviously iconic setting. The objective of this surprising event? Announce the launch of the new Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric, which landed in dealerships at the beginning of May.

A strong point of the Dacia Duster, and a good part of the Dacia range for that matter, is its 100 hp Eco-G engine. This engine, the least expensive in the range, is a flexfuel LPG. In other words, you can drive on LPG or gasoline. Two separate tanks are installed, which also allows a range of more than 1,000 km if you empty both tanks.

Above all, the price of E85 superethanol, around €0.90/L, makes it a powerful ally on a daily basis. Especially in times of fuel price crisis! Thus, count only 84 € to travel 1,000 km, if you drive on ethanol, against 111 €/1,000 km minimum if you fill up with unleaded. Great savings in use: €450 per year if you drive 15,000 km.

The essential, and nothing superfluous

Certainly, in “Essential” finish, the Dacia Duster is not exactly over-equipped. No alloy wheels, central screen, air conditioning or cruise control… But those who are looking for all the savings, or a very simple vehicle to get from point A to point B, will be delighted. hard to find easiest on the market today. But you can still count on LED headlights, bluetooth car radio, a speed limiter, and all the essential safety elements (emergency braking, trajectory control, etc.). The Essential finish lives up to its name. We just regret that the speed regulator (200 €) and the air conditioner (900 €), are optional.

A very complete equipment available

If, on the other hand, you wish to turn to a car equipped with all the modern technology, good news: it is also possible. From the higher finishes, you will not have to blush in the face of much more expensive models. Heated seats, Android Auto et Apple CarPlay sans filautomatic air conditioning, 4 parking cameras, blind spot sensors, etc. It only lacks semi-autonomous driving to approach the benchmarks of the segment. All for less than €21,000!

Imminent launch

From July 1, the cameras normally dedicated to traffic surveillance will be adapted to transmit traffic information to motorists in Nice. Concretely, the latter will then be able to see the images captured in real time on the main traffic axes, such as the Promenade des Anglais or the Mathis road. If this tool should also make it possible to count the traffic flows of the different road users, they will not aim to verbalize.

Accessible to everyone

Users will be able to download the Allo Mairie application to take advantage of this service, and thus see in real time the traffic on the main axes of the city. Microlino, a design taken from BMW

In terms of motorization, the Microlino is also quite efficient. Three choices of battery sizes are available to you. First there will be the 6kWh battery which will give you 90km range. Another one 10.5 kWh battery will also be offered for sale, this time with a range of 177 km. Finally, a 14 kWh battery will complete the range, with a available range of 230km.

The Microlino is also distinguished by its power. Unlike other cars in the segment, it will be able to reach 90 km/h.

The Microlino will be available in several finishes with different colors. Technical specifications and a design that have a cost since the entry price of this car will be 12,000€.

Micro Mobility, an ambitious manufacturer

It is the Swiss manufacturer Micro Mobility which takes care of the assembly of this small car. The brand is still little known, but it intends to make people talk about it with the arrival on the market of its private vehicles. Because Micro Mobility has been specializing for several years in the production of very small rolling objects. This is therefore the case for the Microlino, but also for the brand’s electric scooter, the Microletta. It is a small electric scooter with three wheels in a very compact format.

If the vehicles of the Swiss brand may seem surprising, they respond to a ever-increasing demand in a very specific market. Indeed, the segment of very small vehicles is booming in Europe. Between three and six months

«Le phantom braking » : one could believe in the title of a bad horror film, but the affair is very real. In the United States, around 750 Tesla owners have complained to NHTSA (the local traffic safety agency). The problem ? Their car brakes suddenly or evenstop in the middle of the highway, for no apparent reason. Disturbing enough for NHTSA to open investigation. The agency has requested specific explanations from Tesla.

“Decelerations without warning and repeatedly”

A 14-page letter asks the manufacturer led by Elon Musk for more details on these incidents. Was the “FSD” (Full Self-Driving capability) active at those times? Who of the emergency braking systems, did they work correctly? The agency also seeks to get hold of the videos filmed by the cars at the time of the incidents, and on the data detected by the car. The NHTSA also wants to have more details on various accidents, injuries and deaths related to the brand’s cars.

According to the Guardian, NHTSA has been investigating since February, after receiving 354 complaints from Tesla owners. More 400,000 copiesTesla Model 3 and Model Y manufactured between 2021 and 2022, would be affected.

Complainants report that rapid deceleration can occur without warning, and often repeatedly within a single drive cycle.

The disappearance of speed cameras, the cause of the incidents on the Tesla?

If this phenomenon only affects Teslas manufactured between 2021 and 2022, it should not be related to the software of the car. Indeed, all models receive updates, no reason for certain model years to be more affected than others if the problem came from there. On the other hand, interestingly, Tesla has removed since 2021 the radars of its Model 3 and Model Y products in the United States. According to the manufacturer, the cameras fitted to the car would be sufficient to guarantee the operation of the driving aids.

If Tesla has not yet spoken on the subject, we can therefore see a link between this decision and the cars affected by “phantom braking”. The cameras could then have difficulty in distinguish between shadows and objects, for example. Emergency braking would then be activated, the car believing it was heading towards an obstacle.

But without confirmation from the manufacturer or the NHTSA, difficult to be sure.

According to our colleagues from AutocarGordon Murray is working on the development of two 100% electric SUVs. The development of the British firm’s future models is in the hands of Gordon Murray Design, while the Automotive division is handling deliveries of the GMA T.50 and GMA T.33 supercars.

It was Gordon Murray himself who unveiled the first details of the two SUVs. According to him, these “will change the way we understand vehicle dynamics and range anxiety”.

Gordon Murray also added that one will be a four-seater with front-wheel drive, while the other will be a five-seater with all-wheel drive. Both SUVs will be sold at prices advertised as “affordable”. One of the two models will be marketed under the GMA brand, while the other should be developed for another brand.

Even though these models should be affordable, these two SUVs will retain the brand philosophy introduced on the two supercars: weight reduction, aerodynamic efficiency and driving dynamics at the highest level.

Growing ambitions

To achieve this, both models will follow Gordon Murray’s iStream method, in which the battery is an integral part of the car’s structure, all with minimal weight to improve range and efficiency.

The development of the two SUVs follows GMA’s five-year development plan, with an investment of £300 million and the construction of a campus in Windlesham to diversify its production.

Gordon Murray has repeatedly stated that the modular iStream method, i.e. the use of the same platform for different vehicles, saves up to 80% of the investment compared to a conventional factory. , reduce the CO footprint₂ by 40% and gain up to 200 kg compared to an equivalent car.

Maserati has just launched a recall operation for all copies of the MC20 assembled between May 24 and September 10, 2021. The possibility of a fuel leak has, in fact, been updated. A serious problem which requires that each owner of this model be contacted individually by the manufacturer.

This problem is caused by a faulty solder. The rear auxiliary frame of the chassis may indeed have been poorly welded, which may affect its durability and stability over time. A phenomenon that possibly amplifies engine vibrations during long journeys. Remember that, on this super car, the block, a 630 hp 3.0 bi-turbo V6, is arranged in the rear central position.

These vibrations can cause the engine fuel supply line to partially loosen, resulting in a leak of this precious liquid. The danger therefore concerns the occupants of the car, but also those who follow them.
