Very significant increases, on average 30-35%, in the prices of the Egnatia Road frontal tolls are foreseen by the joint ministerial decision, published yesterday in the Government Gazette. In two cases (Malgaron and Promachona stations) the toll price is reduced, while in another (Strymoniko station) the price is almost doubled.
More specifically, for a passenger car for private use, the prices at the front toll stations of Egnatia Odos are set as follows:
Cheese €2.70 (from €2.10, 28.5% increase)
Cotton €1.55 (from €1.20, an increase of 29.1%)
Malakassiou 1.90 euros (from 1.40 euros, 35% increase)
Shiatista €1.90 (from €1.50, 26% increase)
Polymylou 1.90 euros (from 1.40 euros, 35% increase)
Malgaron 0.90 euros (from 1.20 euros, 25% reduction)
Thessaloniki 0.55 euros (from 0.50 euros, 10% increase)
Withdrawal 2.35 euros (from 1.80 euros, 30% increase)
Asprovaltas 1.10 euros (from 0.90 euros, 22% increase)
Mousthenis 2.15 euros (from 1.60 euros, an increase of 34%)
Kavala 1.85 euros (from 1.40 euros, 32% increase)
Yasmos 1.80 euros (from 1.40 euros, 28% increase)
Mesti €2.20 (from €1.70, 29% increase)
Ardanio 1.60 euros (from 1.20 euros, a 33% increase).

Ieropigi 1.85 euros (from 1.40 euros, 32% increase)
Evzonon 2.40 euros (from 1.80 euros, an increase of 33%)

The increases are similar at all 19 side stations, while the tolls of the underwater link Aktiou – Preveza remain as they are. The increases, which are signed by the Ministers of Infrastructure Christos Staikouras, Finance Kostis Hatzidakis and the Deputy Minister of Finance Thanasis Petralias, were a condition for the signing, today, of the concession contract for Egnatia Road for 35 years to a private party (TERNA – Egis joint venture).
