Later in the year, the Land Rover will launch it new, high-performance Defender Octawhich will be the stronger flagship series model Defender ever built. The British automaker has not revealed the power of its new creation, but it is known that it will have a twin turbo V8 enginewhich will be accompanied by mild-hybrid technology.
The new Defender could use an electrified version of the existing one 5.0 capacity V8 L, offered in the current model, or the V8 4,4 Lwhich one finds in Range Rover SV and has already been equipped with said technology since last year. The power of that drivetrain amounts to 606 PSso the Defender Octa is expected to exceed this number.
According to the company, the powerful off-road SUV will be equipped with the 6D Dynamics air suspensionwhich will be able to maintain the Octa“at a near-constant level during acceleration, braking and cornering on rough terrain.” Besides, there will be Brembo brakes.
As for his appearance, judging from the first images of him published by Land Roverthe Octa will be decorated with special marks in the shape of a diamondboth abroad and at home, which will make it stand out from the rest of its editions Defender.
THE Land Rover confirmed that the Octa will be revealed at some point in the 2024. Even though pre-orders haven't opened yet, the British advise customers to contact the agency of their choice if they want to be the first to get their hands on it Defender Octa.
