Ukrainian intelligence should work everywhere in the world where there are and may be interests of the state, and Putin’s intentions should be neutralized by the Ukrainian special services, the head of state said.
Ukraine's presence in the world should become global, even despite the objectively limited resources that the state now has. Wherever the Putin system tries to win something for itself, Ukraine should win. This is how Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky explained the appointment of Oleg Ivashchenko as Chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
“In conditions of objectively limited resources, it is necessary to find opportunities to use them correctly, so that Ukraine can destroy the occupier, protect people, liberate its territory and constantly change our ties with the world,” Zelensky said.
He emphasized that Ukraine’s presence in the world should become global, therefore it is necessary to strengthen ties not only with traditional Western partners, but also with other states.
“Ukrainian intelligence should work everywhere in the world where our interests already exist and may exist,” the president said.
The head of state emphasized that under the leadership of Ivashchenko, the Foreign Intelligence Service should concentrate on obtaining documentary materials.
“First of all, I need high-quality information and a vision of the intentions that different subjects of global and regional relations have. As well as a vision of the opportunities that exist for Ukraine. During war, there are absolutely non-public things that the Service must provide promptly and efficiently. This is precisely the potential Ukraine expects you to take measures of influence, intelligence work and, in fact, military activities, and it is for this reason that the Foreign Intelligence Service was headed by a military general,” Zelensky emphasized.

“Something will be proposed”: the OP explained why Zelensky fired Danilov from the National Security and Defense Council
He also thanked the previous head of the SVR, Alexander Litvinenko, for his work in this position, who on March 26 became Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Let us recall that on March 26, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed decrees according to which Alexey Danilov was dismissed from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, as well as Alexander Litvinenko from the position of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. Oleg Ivashchenko became the new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, and Litvinenko replaced Danilov.
According to journalists, even before his appointment as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Litvinenko predicted that “having failed to defeat Ukraine in three days in a large-scale war, the Kremlin has passed the point of no return in relations with the West,” and left itself only the opportunity to “triumphantly win or crush lose.”
