The Australian GP did not treat the three-time world champion well, Max Verstappen. THE Dutch he did it first DNF from Australia in 2022ending a stint of 9 straight wins since last year's Japanese GP.
THE Carlos Sainz managed to get the win for third time in his career, with Charles Leclerc to finish second and the Ferrari to do it her first 1-2 since Singapore in 2022. THE Lando Norris came third, completing the podium, ahead of his stablemate, Oscar Piastriin fourth place.
Fifth finished the race Sergio Perezwith her twin Aston Martin to follow in sixth and seventh place, with Fernando Alonso to lead him Lance Stroll. The top ten were completed by Yuki Tsunoda both of them Haasby Nico Hulkenberg in front of him Kevin Magnussen.
The match per round
Start: Max Verstappen managed to hold on to the lead from Carlos Sainz, with the top five remaining as it was. George Russell took advantage of his best start to overtake Sergio Perez to take sixth.
Round 2: Using his Ferrari's DRS, Carlos Sainz took the lead of the race at Turn 9, passing Verstappen.
Round 4: After complaining about the car's balance, Verstappen stopped on the side of the track, his right rear brake on fire. This is the Dutchman's first DNF since the 2022 Australian GP.

Round 17: Lewis Hamilton stopped on the side of the track after Turn 10, reporting a lack of power and putting the track under virtual safety car status. This was taken advantage of by Fernando Alonso, who made his own first change, from the hard to the medium tyre.
Round 21: Perez managed to pass Russell, regaining the position he lost at the start, starting to close in on Alonso, whom he passed on lap 27.
Halfway Line (Round 29): 1. Sainz, 2. Leclerc, 3. Norris, 4. Piastri, 5. Perez, 6. Alonso, 7. Russell, 8. Stroll, 9. Tsunoda, 10. Hulkenberg. The two McLaren drivers swapped positions so that Norris could chase down the Ferraris, being faster.
Round 35: Leclerc made his second change earlier than anyone in the top five to prevent Norris from undercutting, putting on a fresh set of hard tyres. He took to the track just ahead of Perez and Alonso, without losing any extra time.
Round 36: The Mexican did exactly the same a lap later, pulling behind Russell in sixth place.
Round 40: Piastri made his second pit stop, with Norris following on the next lap, and the leader, Sainz, on lap 42. The three put on their second set of hard tires for the race.
Line after the second pit stops (Lap 46): 1. Sainz, 2. Leclerc, 3. Norris, 4. Piastri, 5. Perez, 6. Alonso, 7. Russell, 8. Stroll, 9. Tsunoda, 10 Hulkenberg
Round 55: Russell got significantly closer to Alonso, entering a DRS zone.
Round 56: Sainz reported that his tires did not have the right feel, with Leclerc closing the gap on him but not having time to try for victory.
Round 58: Chasing Alonso, Russell clumsily stepped on the turn 5 curb, crashing into the turn 6 barriers, the car ending up on its side on both wheels. Despite the fact that the mechanism that calls the medical car was activated, Russell reported that he is fine.
