According to Lindsey Graham, when making decisions about military service, citizens of Ukraine should not be guided by the situation with US support.
American Senator from the Republican Party Lindsey Graham, during a visit to Kyiv, called on Ukrainian legislators to pass a law on mobilization. The Washington Post writes about this.
Graham also reportedly spoke out about exempting men under 27 from military service.

“I hope that those who are eligible to serve in the Ukrainian army will join. I can't believe this at 27 years old. You are fighting for your life, so you should serve, not at 25 or 27 years old. We need more people on this list,” the senator said.
Graham stressed that Ukrainians should not base their decisions to join the military on whether Washington continues to support them.
“No matter what we do, you fight for yourself,” he said.
In addition, Graham criticized the slow delivery of American long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine. According to the senator, they “should have been here yesterday.” He also expressed hope that Kyiv will soon receive ATACMS so that “the damn bridge connecting Crimea with Russia can be demolished.”
Let us remember that during his visit to Kyiv, Lindsey Graham also said that Ukrainian fighters would receive 150-caliber shells, and expressed hope that this year the Ukrainian Armed Forces will use F-16 fighters in the war against the Russian Federation.
Earlier, on October 2, Lindsey Graham expressed the opinion that the cessation of US aid to Ukraine could be critical for Taiwan. He stated that if Ukraine can defeat Russia, China will be less likely to invade Taiwan.
