Renault is preparing a brutal pickup truck based on the new Duster. It will replace the Duster Oroch and will be available in the global market.
According to Autocar India, the new product will be a production version of last year's Niagara concept car. Despite the promised futuristic appearance, it will be based on the CMF-B platform from the third generation Duster. They also promise to release both a standard and an extended version of the model.
The technical characteristics of the new Renault pickup truck have not been disclosed, as it is under development. According to insiders, it will be offered with gasoline and hybrid units. The car will also receive an off-road driving mode, like crossovers. There is no information about the debut date of the new product, which is positioned as a competitor to the Fiat Toro and Chevrolet Montana.
