The electric car is not yet a universal solution
Ratcliffe says they originally wanted to follow industry trends and only offer electric drivetrains. But a few months ago, due to changes in the market, they deviated from this decision, because, according to him, battery cars cannot make every move from place A to B a smooth journey.
“An electric car is the perfect solution in certain situations, for example for shorter journeys or in the city. But both industry and government should have realistic expectations of technologies that can help accelerate the necessary pace of change. That's why the Fusilier will get an additional power unit, which will also dramatically help reduce emissions, but it has the necessary range and you can refuel it,” the Ineos boss points out.
