You can't go to bed early today. It snows on this day – there will be bad weather for seven days before Easter.
What happened on this day:
Today the Orthodox Church honors the memory of the clergyman Tarasius, Bishop of Constantinople. He wisely ruled the Church for 22 years and led a harsh ascetic life. The bishop spent all his property on charitable deeds, feeding the poor, and helping the weak. People called this day Taras Bessonny. It was believed that today one should not sleep until sunset, so as not to fall under the influence of evil spirits.
