Which car brand had the fewest problems after three years of use? See JD Power's research, with statistics from the US.
THE J.D. Power presented the results of the research concerning the Vehicle Reliability 2024. To get these results it took interview of 30,000 Americans, car owners and asked them about the problems they faced in the last three years.
In first class of the ranking for 2024 was found Lexus, for the second consecutive year in fact, as it was at the top the previous year as well. The score he scored was 135 PP100, with 'PP100' translating to 'problems per 100 cars».
Her second position with 147 PP100 was occupied by another Japanese company, the Toyota and first among the major car manufacturers. In Tuesday position was found a brand that does not have a presence on the European market, the Buick with 149 PP100.
But in general 2024 was worse from 2023, on average 190 PP100vs 186 PP100, of the previous year. JD Power explains that this is due to the special period of the global crisis associated with the pandemic, which also affected the automotive industry. He mentions this as the research concerns the first three years of the cars' release, i.e. 2021.
The American study assessed 184 specific problems in nine main categories, with the multimedia system to be the most problematic sector in 2024 assessment.
In terms of movement sets, research has shown that the electrical cars had the most problems, while on the contrary, the gasoline engines they had the least.
