Williams presented the colors of its new car ahead of the new season of Formula 1, where with the FW46 the British team hopes to start a new era.
The Grove-based team finished seventh in the Constructors' Championship last year and will be looking to continue their rise. The team leader James Vowles will be in this role for the second season, with Thai drivers Alexander Albon and the American Logan Sargeant.
THE Williams presented the colors of the new car in New York, at the main store of Puma, which is its clothing sponsor. The color combination is a modern tribute to her heritage Williams Racingwith a vibrant color transition from Heritage Navy Blue to New Era Williams.
A red and white stripe is incorporated into the paint, reflecting its position Williams as a British icon and inspired by cars that made history, from the 1985 FW10 of Nigel Mansell and Keke Rosberg until FW19 which won the championship in 1997 with Jacques Villeneuve.
It is the first car to be fully developed under the leadership of team principal James Vowles, after he joined the Williams last February. THE FW46 will make her runway debut at a day of commercials in Bahrain on February 20before the official mock trials that begin the following day.
