The Renault Arkana is an example of the success of the Renaulution strategic plan. Renault has so far sold in Europe 163,000 units of the coupe SUV (240,000 in total, if we include sales of Renault Korea Motors' XM3), with this particular model playing an important role, along with the Megane E-Tech electric and the new Austral, to the brand's goal of regaining its leadership position in the C segment.
The Arkana redefines market standards, with coupe SUV styling that combines looks and spaciousness, and is now sold at in markets of many continents – from Australia, New Zealand and Japan, to Israel and Chile. The best selling powertrain is the full hybrid E-tech of 145 hp (63% of sales in Europe, in the first six months of 2023).
UPGRADED APPEARANCE
The new Arkana combines the fluidity of the design, the unique handling with the robust construction and the new Renault identitymaking the “Nouvelle Vague” image more noticeable.
Renault's new 'Nouvel'R' badge is integrated into the grille, in the center of the black shiny strip which aesthetically unites the lighting fixtures. This surface is completely smooth, making the car even more elegant. The design of the sign Nouvel’R it's at the base of the new pattern on the grille – a row of diamonds 'sparkling' around the badge at its centre. A three-dimensional effect on the edges of the diamonds makes them appear etched and adds depth. Depending on the version, the coloring of this surface is either black, or satin chrome or dark chrometo emphasize the quality upgrade of the model.
The aerodynamic spoiler is now integrated into the bumper of the versions Techno and Alpine spirit, while it is painted in body color in the Techno version, and in satByriay in the esprit Alpine version. The badge in the center of the trunk is painted dark chrome, as is the front, so is the logo and exhaust outlets. The rear lights feature a dark glass-like cover, giving the car an even more modern aesthetic. Chromium in peripheral decorations (grille, window frames, etc.) has been replaced by black, or satin black or gloss black, depending on the version.
NEW ESPRIT ALPINE EDITION
Like all modern Renaults, the new Arkana is offered in the esprit Alpine sports version, which is at the top of the range, perfectly matching the model's personality. One of its external features is the blade/wing on the front bumper Byriay satin shade. Another is the shade gray badge on the front fenders.
The model is also available with new 19-inch wheels which contribute to the dynamic appearance and emphasize its sporty character. A new spoiler at the top of the trunk continues the roof and accentuates it the aerodynamic shape of the tailgate.
Inside, the seats are a mixed bag by Eco Tep (10% materials of organic origin) and synthetic suede. The seats now feature blue horizontal stitching and the Alpine logo on the back, as are the seat belts with the two blue stripes. The door panels and steering wheel have red, white and blue stitching, while the lining in the dashboard area in front of the passenger seat is decorated in a slate pattern. At the same time, with all engines the cockpit of the new Arkana esprit Alpine It has an e-shifter (shift by wire).
MOTOR E-TECH FULL HYBRID 145HP BY CHOICE E-SAVE
The driving pleasure from the 145hp full hybrid E-Tech engine is unsurpassed: this proves to be extremely smooth in electrical operation, but also powerful and economical. The specific drive set combines the operation of two electric motors (a 36kW main engine and an 18kW high voltage generator/starter), with one 1.6 liter 69kW (94hp) 4-cylinder petrol engine, a smart multifunction box, without clutchand a 1.2kWh battery.
The gearbox has 4 ratios for the petrol engine and 2 ratios for the main electric motor. In other words, with the E-Tech full hybrid drive system, the driver has up to 14 possible combinations between engine and electric motor, to optimize energy efficiency.
The car always starts in electric mode and can only be driven by the electric motor for up to 80% of the time in the city, which reduces consumption by up to 40% compared to a conventional gasoline engine. CO2 emissions do not exceed 105 g/km, an excellent value for the category. Except for her enjoyment silent operation with electric propulsion, you can enjoy the comfort of driving without having to stop to charge the battery.
The full hybrid system E-Tech 145hp of the new Arkana includes the e-save function. This option preserves the battery charge at least 40%so you have that extra power to spare in electric driving when you need it, or for extra power.

The new Arkana is based on modular platform CMF-B. This has been established for the efficiency and driving pleasure it offers, its excellent flexibility, the top level of handling, but also its exceptional comfort.
