The “charged” Toyota GR Yaris hatchback, which recently underwent a scheduled update, has received new special versions. Eight-time WRC champion Sebastien Ogier and 2023 WRC champion Kalle Rovenperä took part in their creation.
The new items are called Toyota GR Yaris Kalle Rovanpera Edition and Sebastien Ogier Edition. They will be released in an edition of 100 copies each. The special versions differ from the standard hatchback by 18-inch wheels with a special design and a carbon spoiler at the rear. The Kalle Rovanpera Edition gets a three-tone rally car paint job and an adjustable GRMN Yaris carbon fiber wing, while the Ogier Edition gets a new lightweight rally spoiler and is finished in Matte Stealth Grey.
The performance of limited hatchbacks has also been improved. The Ogier Edition replaces the Gravel and Track modes with MORIZO and SEB, which send more torque to the rear wheels and improve cornering traction. The Kalle Rovanpera Edition has a DONUT drift mode. Both models also feature a NORMAL mode.
In the interior of the special versions there are commemorative plaques indicating the version name and model number. The company noted that owners of the Toyota GR Yaris Kalle Rovanpera Edition and Sebastien Ogier Edition hatchbacks will receive invitations to the Japanese WRC stage in 2024.
