Of course, that doesn't mean you won't get a five Touring with an internal combustion engine. They will be available, but for now BMW is announcing the i5 eDrive40 and i5 M60 xDrive variants.
While the “forty” gets only one electric motor with a power of 340 hp, a torque of 400 Nm and a battery with a capacity of 81.2 kWh, the “eMko” adds a second unit, a system output of 601 hp, 795 Nm and an identically large battery. The dynamics of the Touring should not be fundamentally different from the sedan, so expect acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in about 3.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 230 kilometers per hour.
