The Chinese brand Wuling has published official images of a small crossover, the presentation of which will take place in the first half of this year. We are talking about a new version of the five-door hatchback Bingo with the Plus prefix in the name.
This is already the ninth modification of the model. The eight previous versions available on the market offer a range of 203, 333 and 410 km. Price range is from $8,300 to $12,400. The new crossover is expected to cost around $14,000. Its main competitor is called BYD Dolphin.
Externally, the crossover version is practically no different from the base model. The crossover has a two-tone body with a “floating” roof, slightly different front optics and original five-spoke wheels. And the most noticeable difference is the continuous strip of rear lights. Some differences are also expected in the cabin. In particular, a new front panel and air ducts.
Wuling Bingo Plus turned out to be slightly larger than the basic electric hatchback. The overall length of the crossover is 4090 mm, 140 mm longer than the base Bingo. It reaches a width of 1720 mm (+12 mm), a height of 1575 mm (-5 mm). Wheelbase is 2610 mm versus 2560 mm for the base model. The dimensions of the potential competitor BYD Dolphin are 4125 x 1770 x 1575 mm with a wheelbase of 2700 mm.
Wuling Bingo Plus is equipped with one 102 hp electric motor. The maximum torque of the unit is 180 Nm. The capacity of the traction battery is 50.6 kWh. The expected range without recharging is more than 400 km, but the range has not been officially announced.
