HBugatti is renowned for its ability to create transcendent one-off editions, and the new Chiron Super Sport 57 is just that, with an American customer of the French manufacturer said to have “fallen in love” with the prototype Type 57 SC Atlantic.
The Chiron Super Sport 57 draws its inspiration from this very model, designed by the son of the brand’s founder, Jean Bugatti, for which the CEO of Bugatti, Hendrik Malinowski, said: “The Type 57 SC Atlantic will forever be an iconic image for us and the new Chiron Super Sport 57 variant can stand proudly alongside it in the Concours events of the future.”
As for the special features of this Chiron Super Sport 57, it has specially designed wheels finished with chrome and blue details. The body is painted in the same shade, referring to the blue-gray metallic color of the prototype car. Also on the lower part of the rear wing is the silhouette of the Type 57 combined with the phrase ‘One of One’, written by hand. Also redesigned is the grille, which features polished vertical elements and a more distinct central element, as another nod to the Type 57.
A timeless constant remains the presence of the W16 engine of 8.0 liters with a power of 1,500 hp which allows the version to develop a maximum speed of 440 km/h.
Inside, the one-off edition is covered in expensive Guacho leather which is also decorated with the Type 57 silhouette motifs on the insides of the doors and with blue thread while the center console is dominated by the name of the edition. A cute detail is the dancing elephant motif on the headrests of the seats, a design that Bugatti dedicates to the rarest of its cars.
The French brand does not announce the price of the one-off version of course, although it will exceed – by a lot – the 3.8 million price of the “basic” version.
