According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the military-political leadership of the country also intends to launch 60 strike companies of drones and transform the doctrine of the use of UAVs.
Ukraine has trained 10,000 drone operators as part of the Drone Army project. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.
“We recently completed the first part of the UAV pilot training project, 10,000 pilots have been trained during this time. That is, the Army of Drones is a comprehensive development of the UAV sector, both in terms of production and in terms of their use,” the minister said.
He added that it is planned to launch 60 strike companies of drones. The second goal is the transformation of the doctrine of the use of UAVs.
Recall that the Ukrainian company SkyFall has developed and produces domestic attack drones called Vampire (“Vampire”).
Meanwhile, the plant in Odessa produces up to 500 combat drones per month. The military, with the help of engineers, is assembling three types of UAVs for reconnaissance and strikes worth up to $1,000.
In April 2022, it became known that the United States for the first time handed over Switchblade 300 drones to Ukraine. They are already successfully used to defeat the manpower of the Russian Armed Forces.
For example, in March 2023, a video appeared of how the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a group of Russian military drones Switchblade 300. The invaders entrenched themselves on a hill in the Donetsk region and fought off the UAV with anti-drone guns, which could not interfere with the American device.
