Repairs are being carried out at grid facilities in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, which may result in temporary power outages in these two regions.
Temporary blackouts are possible in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions. This was announced on Saturday, March 18, by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko on his Facebook page.
“Due to repair work at network facilities, certain temporary restrictions on the supply of electricity in the Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions are possible,” Galushchenko wrote.

According to the Minister of Energy, as of March 18, the country’s energy system operates without restrictions for users. The Ministry of Energy also reports that there is a reserve of capacity in the energy system.
According to Galushchenko, the generation fully meets the needs of electricity users in all areas.
Recall that on March 15, it was also reported about possible blackouts in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.
Earlier, on March 13, Focus figured out whether electricity tariffs for citizens would be increased to support the energy sector. According to expert Maxima Bilyavsky, during the full-scale war, the demand for electricity in Ukraine fell by about 35%, and the largest share in the structure of consumption began to belong to households to which electricity was sold at a reduced price.
