Russia has few high-precision weapons left, and the interval between shelling has increased. At the same time, the RF Armed Forces have a lot of outdated projectiles, like S-300 missiles, which increases the threat to front-line territories.
Russia intends to continue the tactics of missile terror on the territory of Ukraine. However, this will not radically affect Ukrainian logistics and the economy. This was stated by Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, on the air of the telethon on March 18.
Russia’s missile blitzkrieg has failed since it began, he said. However, the invaders continue to use this tool to intimidate Ukrainians.
Yusov also noted that intelligence is observing an increase in the intervals between massive missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. The representative of the GUR added that the Russians have few precision weapons left.
“If earlier it was weekly massive missile strikes, now the interval can be 3-4 weeks. They use Shaheda, but in a different way, both quantitatively and at intervals,” he said.
Andriy Yusov also said that Caliber, Iskander and Kinzhal missiles are not the kind of missiles that “the enemy can allow to bombard the whole of Ukraine.” However, the Russian army still has a lot of obsolete shells, like S-300 missiles. The GUR says that this increases the threat to the front-line territories.
“But in general, this missile terror tactic has already failed. Ukraine has survived the winter, the energy system has survived and today it will radically affect the Ukrainian economy, the enemy will no longer be able to logistics,” the intelligence official added.
Recall that on March 18, OK Yug warned that Russia could launch a massive missile attack on Ukraine after the launch of the Shahed UAV. The command noted that the night launches of drones allowed the Russian Armed Forces to test the strength of Ukraine’s defenses, preparing to launch Kalibr missiles or other high-precision weapons.
On March 17, Vitaliy Barabash, head of the Avdiivka VGA, said that Russian troops were carrying out massive shelling of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. The total number of missile strikes on a populated area per day can reach 10-12.
