A man who did not know his parents in childhood found out that his wife and mother of two common children is his sister. Native sister.
The real drama played out – in the title role with one of the users of the social network and the Reddit forum. A man from the United States told subscribers that he recently found out about the blood relationship with his wife when he agreed to become a donor for her for a kidney transplant. This is reported by the publication Mirror.
As a child, the man was adopted two minutes after birth, the procedure was closed, so he did not know anything about his biological parents.
8 years ago, he met his future wife during business trips to another state, and two years later the couple got married. Two children were born in a young family, however, after the birth of the second child, the mother began to have problems with the kidneys and a transplant was required.
“My wife fell ill immediately after the birth of our son, and now she needs a kidney transplant. We checked her relatives, and none of them was a suitable donor,” the hero of this story shared on the forum.
The man agreed to undergo a full examination to see if he could become a donor, and a doctor contacted him a few days later.
“Then the doctor said something about the need for additional testing due to some information from the test results for HLA (human leukocyte antigen). I did not attach much importance to this and agreed,” he continues his story.
Additional tests showed that he and his wife had “an abnormally high percentage of matches.” The man admitted that he was shocked and confused.
“We are relatives – no, I’m not kidding. I don’t know what to do next … She is my wife and mother of our children,” a netizen, stunned by the test results, shared.
However, Reddit users tried to find words of support for him. One of the users noted that the couple has children, and they are presumably healthy, since the author did not mention any cases of pathologies and abnormalities in his story. Another added: “You’re already married and have kids – you can’t turn it back, so I don’t see much point in ruining your world.”
The man was advised to keep his family happy, donate a kidney to his sister-wife, and “continue to be great parents to your children.”
Recall that since 2022, a new service has become available on the Diya portal – filing an application for adoption in electronic form. Previously, potential adoptive parents had to deal with the application for weeks.
