After injuries sustained after being hit by a snowplow, Renner’s acting career is “no longer a priority.”
Actor Jeremy Renner, 52, the star of The Avengers, The Hurt Locker and Mission: Impossible, has made it clear he may not be returning to Hollywood. The Daily Mail writes about it.
On the first day of the New Year, the actor was hit by a seven-ton snowplow and received more than 30 fractures. It happened at his home on Lake Tahoe.
The actor almost died, and after spending some time in the hospital, he ended up at home, where he is now undergoing rehabilitation.

It’s a long and painful process, so Renner no longer considers a career in Hollywood a priority.
“Jeremy believes that he survived the accident to use his fame to really change the world. He is very proud of the work done, but this whole situation really showed him that he can do much more to help others,” says an insider close to to the actor.
Now Jeremy Renner is at his home in Los Angeles, where he is often visited by his mother Valerie and his daughter Ava, the child of his ex-girlfriend Sonny Pocheco.
“He’s only focused on his recovery and is in rehab to walk again. Jeremy knows how lucky he is to be alive. Every day he’s getting a little better than before and he’s definitely making progress, but progress is slow.” — said the insider.
The Avengers star is now looking forward to the release of his latest non-Hollywood documentary series, Rennervations, which will debut on Disney+ in April.
He also continues to inform subscribers about how the recovery is going.
In February, the actor said he was doing everything he could for his recovery while also taking care of his mental health.
It is clear that the actor’s injuries will keep him from filming anytime soon. And in July 2022, two new Avengers movies, Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, were announced.
Avengers: Kang Dynasty will be the fifth installment in the Avengers franchise, the sequel to Avengers: Endgame (2019), and the 39th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise.
While there is still time before filming begins, it is unknown if Renner will be healthy enough to return to filming. And if he wants to do it.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be released on May 2, 2025. Secret Wars will premiere on May 1, 2026.
