Servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to destroy the enemy in the Bakhmut direction. A few days later, at least a company of Russian invaders and an Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV were destroyed. A video of the unit’s work was posted on March 17 on Facebook.
Drone operators of the Special Operations Forces will continue to protect Bakhmut. Drones help detect hostile positions and vehicles.
“We will stand and win,” the military unit said in a statement.
Soldiers of the Special Operations Forces promised to continue to destroy the invaders. According to them, the enemy is rebuffed at every attempt to move forward.
The Special Operations Forces was created in January 2016. The military units of the formation are capable of performing complex, dangerous, sometimes politically sensitive operations conducted by the SOF command. From the moment of the full-scale invasion of the Russian troops, the SOF were involved in many regions of our country, which made it possible to successfully repel the offensive of the Russian troops.
Earlier, Focus published a statement by the speaker of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Cherevaty, about the defense of Bakhmut. He noted that the city is important for the future offensive of the Ukrainian army. The enemy fails to break the spirit of the defenders, inflicting insane losses on the Russian troops.
Also, The New York Times in a March 17 article suggested that the UAF would be able to carry out only one counteroffensive, since there was a shortage of artillery shells. A significant number of them are used for the defense of Bakhmut. American and European officials say the city’s defenses are fragile, which could jeopardize the Ukrainian army’s spring offensive.
