According to Russian activist Olga Romanova, Prigozhin fell out with the Russian Defense Ministry and political elites. Now, instead of PMC “Wagner”, another PMC, which is connected with Shoigu, is put in the foreground.
The founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin can no longer visit Russian prisons to recruit prisoners there for the war with Ukraine. Olga Romanova, the founder of the Rus’ Sitting project, spoke about this in an interview with Bild.
According to her, Prigozhin quarreled with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin.
“Prigozhin failed as a courtier — having quarreled with the Ministry of Defense, with the influential Kovalchuks, with the governors. Apparently, he is now retreating to Africa. But a holy place is never empty,” Romanova said.
She also noted that the PMC “Wagner” was replaced by a new PMC “Patriot”, which is associated directly with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu. In addition, PMCs have emerged that are linked to billionaire Oleg Deripaska and other members of the Russian elite.
Romanova said that Prigozhin “stepped on Putin’s foot” when he publicly spoke out against Putin’s chief of the General Staff without the approval of the Kremlin in a sharply negative manner.
“And Putin, of course, could not stand it here, flared up, and then Surovikin was already taken aside, Ramzan Akhmatovich fell ill, somehow his face changed, well, Prigozhin himself lost his entrance to prisons, and now, apparently , will leave for Africa, although I argue with many of our colleagues whether he will be alive in a year, “said Romanova.
She noted that since February 1, Prigozhin has not visited Russian prisons. They no longer conclude military contracts with him for the supply of food for the RF Armed Forces. In addition, they do not conclude contracts with him to advertise the Wagner PMC.
Olga Romanova about PMC “Wagner” and Yevgeny Prigogine
Recall that PMC “Wagner” launched an ad on PornHub. In the video, a female voice calls on men of military age to use the services of the organization. Fighters promise to attach from all regions of the country.
Earlier on March 15, Prigozhin boasted of taking another village near Bakhmut, with a population of only 2 people. According to the head of the PMC “Wagner”, they managed to capture a settlement in the Donetsk region “during shell hunger and in the most difficult battles.”
We also recall that the Seimas of Lithuania recognized PMC “Wagner” as a terrorist organization. This is the first such case in the EU countries. In the resolution, Yevgeny Prigozhin’s company is separately called “a shadow tool of the Russian authorities.
