Parallel imports have given attackers many new opportunities for fraud. Attackers in Russia have started registering fake Telegram channels and posting advertisements for the sale of imported cars in them.
Experts from InsurTech provider Simble uncovered a scheme to deceive car buyers through parallel imports. Fake channels began to appear in the Telegram messenger, in which posts are posted advertising new cars from the UAE, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan with attractive prices.
