The Russian assets of the Japanese automaker Toyota, which left the Russian Federation, will be transferred to the FSUE NAMI subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to the head of the department Denis Manturov, the relevant work is already underway.
Currently, the Toyota plant in St. Petersburg, launched in 2007, is idle. And the unused land plots belonging to the enterprise are planned to be transferred to the city for the subsequent creation of an industrial park.

In January 2023, Toyota Motor completed the procedure for laying off employees, 277 people remained in the staff of the branch, of which 76 are employed at the plant in St. Petersburg.
Earlier, the assets of the St. Petersburg plant Nissan were transferred to FSUE NAMI, after which AvtoVAZ announced their acquisition and confirmed plans to produce cars under the Lada brand there.
