Mitsubishi ASX is not an independent model – it is a copy of Renault Captur. To replace him, they are preparing a completely new crossover of the third generation.
The new second-generation Mitsubishi ASX will not be in production for long. Until the end of 2024, the release of the model will be discontinued. This became known to the Spanish site Motor.es.
Recall that the Mitsubishi ASX crossover entered the European market at the end of 2022. Thus, it will be produced at the plant in Spanish Valladolid for only two years.

The new model received not too flattering reviews. The fact is that the Mitsubishi ASX 2023 is almost an exact copy of the Renault Captur. The crossover differs from the French counterpart only in the radiator grille and steering wheel. This is not surprising, because Mitsubishi has joined the Renault-Nissan alliance.
However, Mitsubishi considers the new ASX a kind of transitional model. Work is already underway on its successor, and it will be an independent development of Mitsubishi.
