Polish intelligence agencies have revealed a spy network working for the Russian Federation. Six people who were supposed to carry out subversive activities were detained. A high alert mode has been introduced on railways and critical infrastructure facilities. It is reported by the Polish radio RMF24.
According to journalists, all the detainees are foreigners. Recordings of hidden surveillance cameras on important roads and railway junctions helped stop their activities.
Suspicious activity was recorded mainly on sections of the railway tracks of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, including the airport area in Jasionka near Rzeszow, the main transshipment point through which Western weapons are delivered to Ukraine.
The Polish special services and police are working in an enhanced mode, additional forces have been brought in to protect key infrastructure facilities.
