The second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLC 2023 coupe-shaped crossover is presented, the model has been updated according to the patterns of the related GLC, but in a standard body, which debuted last summer.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has grown a bit in size, but has retained its overall form factor, and is still a competitor to the BMW X4 and Audi Q5 Sportback.
The exterior design largely repeats the standard GLC, especially the front end, the back of the coupe crossover is naturally original. Compared to the previous generation, the wheelbase has increased by 15 mm (up to 2888 mm), and the length has stretched by 32 mm (up to 4763), the width has remained the same (1890 mm). The track has been widened by 6mm at the front and 23mm at the rear.
The interior of the Coupe, with a vertical tablet in the center, is completely unified with the standard GLC, an interior with a similar architecture first appeared on modern S and C-class sedans.

Review
Almost a year after the release of the second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLC crossover 2023, engineers from Stuttgart have introduced the Coupe version.
The main competitor in the European market for the BMW X4 and Audi Q5 Sportback, as before, in terms of equipment almost completely repeats the standard version, with the exception of certain points.
For example, the coupe-shaped Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe 2023 immediately gets a “sporty” chassis by default, but at the same time they are not offered a set of “off-road” options, such as increased ground clearance. There are slight differences in the range of engines offered, while in terms of interior, apart from its internal volume, both Mercedes-Benz GLCs turned out to be almost identical.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is presented as a 2023 model year car, but it is more correct to compare it not with the current version of the crossover, but with the first generation coupe.
In this case, most of the parts can be called new, the suspension is specially designed to improve maneuverability, and the hybrid transmissions are more powerful. Separately, it is worth noting the enlarged panoramic sunroof, and in general a more luxurious interior.
Chrome trim, previously only available with the Avantgarde Line package, is now offered at the entry level, and wireless charging, heated seats and a Burmester 3D Surround audio system are added to the list of standard equipment along with the “aggressive” AMG Line body kit.
External design
From the GLC version of the Coupe can be distinguished not only by the sloping roof and the angle of the rear pillars. The cars also differ in the plasticity of the front bumper and rear lights. Changes in overall dimensions can be considered insignificant, but in terms of aerodynamics, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has taken a big step forward: the air resistance index (Cx) has been reduced from 0.30 to 0.27.
Salon
The description of the interior of the novelty almost completely repeats what the basic version already offers. 12.3-inch instrument panel without a visor, 11.9-inch vertical touchscreen in the center, optional “projection” and multi-contour front seats.
For a surcharge, climate control becomes four-zone, and massagers get seats. Of the improvements – a system of all-round visibility with a “transparent hood” mode. The difference in luggage compartment volume between the GLC and GLC Coupe is 75 liters (620 and 545 liters “under the curtain”).
Technical filling
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe 2023 did not receive a six-cylinder engine, but otherwise this car has the entire range of engines and transmissions that the base crossover has. These are petrol and diesel turbo fours with 48-volt starter-generators, which come with 9-automatic gearboxes and a 4Matic chassis. At a higher level – rechargeable hybrids, the most powerful of which has 381 hp. With.
Prices and start of sales
Europe will see the sale of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe 2023 in the coming July. Dealers expect price increases, despite the fact that the current version of the coupe-crossover in the initial configuration is estimated at 55,000 euros. The second generation GLC is already on sale from 57,600 euros, so the subordination will definitely be observed.
