A column of Ukrainian equipment came under enemy fire from a MLRS in the Bakhmut direction near the town of Chasov Yar. This was reported in the press service of the design and production enterprise “Ukrainian armored vehicles”.
The military notes that the Russian invaders began to use prohibited cluster munitions during the movement of the Ukrainian convoy, and the Novator armored car, inside which the Ukrainian defenders were, was covered with shrapnel.
“As a result, the hood and upper part of the car were damaged. There was one hatch penetration, as a result of which a soldier received a shrapnel wound, there are no threats to his life,” the report says.
At the same time, the Ukrainian armored vehicles checkpoint notes that the armored capsule of the vehicle withstood the shelling from the Russians and remained unharmed. On the frames published on the network, you can see that the fragments could not break through the windshield and this saved the life of the entire crew.

Armored vehicle “Novator”: what is its peculiarity
A special armored vehicle was developed by a Ukrainian company, taking into account all modern requirements. It was first introduced back in 2017, and has been in service with the Ukrainian army since 2019.
Its design uses a chassis adapted for off-road operation with a 4×4 wheel arrangement. The mass of the vehicle is 8.845 kg, the carrying capacity is 1845 kg, and the cabin can immediately accommodate up to five passengers.
