According to the head of government, the first lands were sown with grain and leguminous crops.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the sowing campaign has begun in Ukraine. He wrote about this on Facebook on March 12.
According to the head of government, the second sowing campaign has started in Ukraine in the context of a full-scale war with the Russian Federation. At the moment, farmers have already sown 16,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops. Also with Poland, the border crossing for agricultural products was simplified, the Prime Minister noted.
Let us add that in 2022, farmers sowed 14.2 million hectares of land, which is 95% of the forecast, as well as 2.8 million hectares less than in 2021.
In addition, Denys Shmyhal said that the energy system of Ukraine remains intact despite 15 massive missile strikes by the Russian Armed Forces. For a week, power engineers returned light where it had been lost due to shelling. The government also allocated 5 million hryvnias from the budget for the implementation of an experiment to restore energy facilities so that they meet safety requirements in wartime.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine also reported that the government has allocated a subsidy of 10.2 billion hryvnias for 17 regions and 853 communities that have suffered the most from military aggression. In some regions, additional funds are allocated for the construction of new military engineering and technical fortifications.
Recall, on January 10, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy announced that the sown area in 2023 will be redirected. For the most part, oilseeds will be sown in order to increase income per hectare of land.
On December 30, 2022, Ukraine calculated the losses from Russian aggression. They amount to about 40 billion dollars.
