The leadership of the 190th training center of the Zhytomyr district of the urban-type settlement of Guyva, where the incident occurred, reacted to the actions of their subordinate, junior lieutenant Viktor Vitusevich. They said that the command of the unit is grateful to everyone who forwarded information regarding the incident that occurred in one of the units.
“We share the indignation over the revealed fact. An official investigation has already been launched, to which all competent structures are involved: the Military Law Enforcement Service, counterintelligence, the State Bureau of Investigation, etc. We are building a new format army, where there is no place for abuse and hazing. The perpetrators will definitely be punished. Appropriate decisions will be made based on the results of the investigation,” the report says.
It is noted that the defendants in the incident have been suspended from their duties until the end of the investigation.
In the comments under the message, subscribers informed that this was not the only case of conscripts being beaten in this training center.
