Volunteers handed over eight new H10 Poseidon Mk II drones to the Ukrainian military. Petro Poroshenko, People’s Deputy of Ukraine from European Solidarity, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
Brigade-level drones manufactured by the Cypriot company Swarmly were purchased with funds raised by the Petro Poroshenko Foundation, the public organization Right Gromad, volunteers from Lviv and the authorities of Krivoy Rog. It is worth noting that the cost of one H10 Poseidon Mk II is about 300 thousand euros.

Eight “birds” were introduced to the third group of graduates of the training center, which prepares operators to operate the H10 Poseidon Mk II. In addition to the drones, the party included two mobile control centers based on DAF trucks, inside which there are places for the operator, pilot, reconnaissance and gunner, allowing them to work together. Inside are large monitors showing high-definition video from the camera, including potential targets and cloaked objects.

According to Petro Poroshenko, soon the unmanned systems will go to the military units of the Troop, artillery, tank and motorized infantry brigades, where they will serve:
“All together they can make a big boom. In every occupied corner of our land. Day and night.”

The H10 Poseidon MK 2 are medium-range reconnaissance drones. They received a tiltrotor design, one main electric motor with a pusher propeller and four smaller electric motors for vertical and landing, greatly simplifying the launch and landing on the battlefield. A useful advantage of the device is good protection against electronic warfare and low visibility for enemy electronic intelligence, such as radars and thermal imagers.

A fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Radio Roks” in the video highlighted the “chic” night vision camera H10 Poseidon MK 2, which allows you to conduct reconnaissance even in the dark. According to him, the drone can operate effectively at a distance of up to 50 km, which helps to find targets behind enemy lines.
In November, experts talked about the important advantages of the H10 Poseidon over other drones. Alexander Kovalenko, a columnist from the Information Resistance group, noted the high reliability and manufacturability of the model, which can operate in extreme conditions and transmit video even in the area of operation of Russian electronic warfare systems.
Military blogger Sergei Misyura praised the H10 Poseidon for its comfort and good range. According to him, such UAVs are especially useful for targeting artillery.
