In her Instagram, she admitted that in the pursuit of losing weight, she “stuck in unhealthy cycles and ways of thinking”, because of which she either did not see results, or, when they were still able to be achieved, over time, the girl gained weight again.
It wasn’t until she gave up overly restrictive diets, endless workouts, and all-or-nothing thinking that Sophie achieved consistent results.
“Creating a body that represents strength, health and trust (yes, because I struggled to trust myself to maintain the results I worked hard for and continued to sabotage myself by overeating) took me years. First, Allen stopped dieting, exhausting herself with workouts, using obviously ineffective weight loss programs, and abandoned the all-or-nothing approach. She began to adopt an inclusive approach to nutrition, in which she follows the 80/20 rule in food: eat healthy food 80% of the time and a little what she likes 20%.
Secondly, she limited her workouts. Now she performs a complex of only five exercises per workout and only works out three or a maximum of four times a week. Now the exercises are not aimed at burning calories, but at maintaining them within the required norm. Because of this, Sophie says, her body has never looked better.
Allen typically eats about 2,000 calories a day, including healthy fats, carbohydrates, fiber, and protein. The trainer admits that she will never be able to refuse meat from her diet, as it provides her with too many essential nutrients that she could not get from other sources.
“People often ask me if I can ever go vegan. As someone who has had low iron levels in the past, and who pays a lot of attention to micronutrient content in food, I would not want to do this anytime soon,” Sophie emphasized. . She recommends eating red meat because it has so many health benefits. Not only does it provide the body with essential nutrients, including iron, zinc, magnesium, and protein that are difficult to obtain from other non-animal sources, it is also beneficial when taken on a regular basis. Sophie tries to maintain the recommended intake of 65 grams per day.
What foods should be consumed in order not to gain weight:
Protein: very lean organic ground beef, shrimp, chicken breast, protein powder, eggs, and egg whites. Carbs: gluten-free bread, gluten-free dairy-free buns, pita bread, rice cakes, chocolate-covered mini rice cakes, dark chocolate, sugar, and tomato sauce with low salt content. Healthy fats: peanut butter, almond flour, macadamia nuts, vegan cheese. Fruits and vegetables: pineapple, bananas, pumpkin, cauliflower, zucchini, broccoli, tomatoes, basil, lettuce, blueberries and strawberries.
