The plant launched a new diesel engine for GAZelles last year, but so far its exact indicators have not been disclosed.

The assembly is domestic, but the development is not ours: in fact, the new gas diesel engine is the Chinese Foton 2.5, also known under the Aucan brand. The motor was developed by the Foton R&D center in Stuttgart with the participation of the engineering companies FEV and Ricardo.
Whatever it was, but the motor is interesting. It has common rail direct injection – and claims specific fuel consumption is reported to be 10% lower than competitors.
Also, the passport resource of the new motor is now known – 700 thousand kilometers. In the Russian version, the motor meets Euro-2 standards.

Well, the main indicators – they differ, because the motor has two versions: with a power of 150 hp, a torque of 330 Nm (for the G21A version) or 420 Nm in the G21C version.
