Self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus had successfully tested missiles for the Buk-MB2 anti-aircraft missile system. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Lukashenka said that on March 5 they tested an anti-aircraft missile for the Buk. The rocket, as stated, flew “where necessary.”
“You have your own weapons against aircraft. Much has been done during this time so that our army, our security forces are armed with real weapons and adequately defend our homeland,” Lukashenka said.
The State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus has published a video of testing the 9M318 missile, which was presented in 2019. It is stated that the missile is capable of hitting a diverse set of targets: from stealth aircraft to tactical ballistic missiles at a distance of up to 70 km.
