Kia is gearing up for a major update to the Rio. Sea trials of its prototypes have already begun in Sweden. As can be seen from the first spy photos, the new car will be larger and more presentable than its predecessor.
Rio is tested under heavy camouflage. But you can see the thin headlights with integrated daytime running lights, united by an expressive front bumper with a large central air intake and vertical cutouts on the sides.

From the side, the silhouette of the new Rio seems more dynamic and squat, and its sloping roofline is clearly reminiscent of the Kia EV6 electric car. At the rear, the sedan stands out with L-shaped taillights, a sporty rear bumper and twin trapezoidal exhaust pipes.
When the premiere of the next generation Kia Rio will take place is not known. We can assume that not earlier than 2024.
