According to Yuri Kasyanov, as a result of the “arrivals”, the Russians lost a lot of people, equipment and money, and in the future drone strikes will become even more effective.
Ukrainian drones cause significant damage to Russia in the rear. Yuri Kasyanov, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the founder of the A.Drones project, stated this on the air of Radio NV.
According to the expert, Ukrainian developers and various military units are achieving very good results with the help of drones. They strike on the territory of Russia, but the consequences are hidden from the general public from both Russia and Ukraine. The Ukrainians do not disclose such information in order to protect intelligence officers and manufacturers.
“Our drones cause very serious damage to the enemy, but the enemy in this case, as a rule, does not report anything to the media, and no one knows about it except for those who are supposed to: them and our specialists. In fact, there are very successful attacks that have led to serious losses for the enemy: both financial and human, and equipment, etc. Such attacks will increase because we are learning, gaining experience, becoming more and more technologically savvy,” Yuri Kasyanov said.
The specialist also explained why not all drones reach their targets. Autonomous drones must fly very low to hide from Russian air defense radars and electronic warfare systems, but at the same time they risk colliding with obstacles: trees, buildings, power lines. Some have a “terrain avoidance” mode – the technology is quite complicated, it requires special devices: LIDAR, which determines the distance to the object, height gauges, obstacle sensors, radars. Developers often omit such equipment to simplify the design.
“The route is not thoroughly calculated, and this leads to the fact that the device hits trees or crashes into buildings,” Yury Kasyanov emphasized. “We need to work on the bugs, improve, and I am sure that our drones will fly more often and cause serious damage to the enemy.”
Earlier, Yuri Kasyanov wrote about the reasons for the crash of drones in Belgorod. According to him, the height of urban development was not taken into account during the launch. At the same time, none of the fallen UAVs exploded thanks to coordinate fuses.
