Russia is now suffering the most losses, except for the first month of a full-scale invasion.
Mobilized in the fall, observing the constant failures of the RF Armed Forces (for example, the utter defeat near Ugledar) and realizing that they were next after the prisoners, who would be used for “meat waves” – they began to go into denial en masse and record videos one by one, where they whine that they were not trained as attack aircraft. Obviously, these videos will not save them, but something else is important here.
What we wrote about last summer has been confirmed: to mobilize is not the same as to organize. Russia lacks all the key elements that are needed for modern mechanized combined arms combat: from communications equipment to understanding and competent commanders. Therefore, she has no other options but to simply shut up the front with manpower, unorganized and unprepared, and without the technical means of war.
If the Kremlin does not stop this madness and does not withdraw its army from the territory of Ukraine, then the number of killed invaders will eventually reach a quarter of a million, and if the war drags on for years, then up to half a million, for sure. It is irretrievable losses. The total losses of Russia in Ukraine already now, according to average estimates, amount to about a quarter of a million. This is a year of full-scale war.
War is always insanely expensive, and the 10,000+ pieces of equipment lost this year will never be restored by Russia. Neither Iran nor North Korea will be able to fill this gap. At the same time, losses in equipment will continue, which means that the situation for the invaders will only get worse.
As a result, the Kremlin is forced to take absolutely desperate steps: prolonging the war for the sake of the illusory hope that Western support for Ukraine will stop, the impending annexation of Belarus, or the possible continuation of mobilization, which will only further aggravate the situation, as it will create an even greater burden on the useless organizational, logistical and technical basis.
Here it is important to insert a remark: these potential quarter or half a million victims are another important reason why Russia should lose, and not just “cease fire.” If Russia does not lose, then such a number of those killed will be regarded as a colossal national catastrophe.
The war must end in such a way that it is clearly indicated that this adventure of the Kremlin was not a catastrophe, but a crime, and hundreds of thousands of killed citizens of the Russian Federation are murdered criminals, and not “innocent victims.” The importance of this moment is not fully understood by everyone.
What will happen next? The General Staff of the Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to implement its global plan to destroy the logistics, command and technical capabilities of the occupiers, while preparing dozens of new mechanized and assault brigades.
Along the way, the strategic-level operation to de-occupy Crimea will continue. The process of liberating the peninsula is a long process, multi-level and extremely complex, which is why it will be extended in space and time, but if you look closely at the range of weapons that are being transferred to Ukraine, there are also specific tools designed to de-occupy Crimea.
All of the above does not dismiss the fact that the enemy, although stupid, is cunning and is trying to adapt to a new reality. Balls with reflectors or “meat waves” are a prime example of such attempts. It is important not to ignore all these threats and continue to methodically implement your plans, despite the extreme complexity and severity of the situation.
