The Australian actress shared the details of the first meeting with the Dukes of Sussex.
Australian actress Rebel Wilson, 43, has revealed she didn’t get a “warm” welcome from Meghan Markle when she first met the Dukes of Sussex. She said this on the air “Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen.”
“Meghan was not so cool. She was not so warm by nature,” said the star.
However, Wilson noted that Markle’s reserved behavior could be due to her Australian mum, Sue Bounds, asking “slightly rude” questions, such as “Where are your kids?”
“And I’m like, ‘Mom, don’t ask her about it,'” the actress added.
Wilson shared that the meeting took place in Santa Barbara, California, and that, by contrast, Prince Harry “couldn’t have been better.”
When host Andy Cohen asked the Pitch Perfect star if she knew the royals before they met, she said she didn’t and they just had a “mutual friend”.
Fans on social media have had mixed reactions to Wilson’s recollection of her meeting Meghan and Harry.
“Negative about Meghan Markle because she does not answer rude questions? Rebel Wilson should have more material than this. Boring,” wrote one of the critics of Wilson’s claims on Twitter.
“I believe her. She has common sense. Meghan Markle is a narcissist. She acted like she was a monarch when she married a spare on the throne,” another user said, supporting Rebel’s statements.
Recall that after the release of the scandalous memoirs of Prince Harry, King Charles III concluded for himself that his youngest son decided to finally break all ties with British relatives. Without thinking twice, the monarch announced that the Dukes of Sussex should vacate the Frogmore cottage in Windsor, offering to move there to his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew.
Focus also wrote that Meghan Markle did not like being a “second-class princess” after Kate Middleton.
