Two weeks ago it became known that Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. People with this diagnosis can live from 7 to 13 years. The disease progresses rapidly and is not treated.
Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming-Willis, shared a public announcement on her Instagram account after paparazzi made a video of her husband drinking coffee with friends.
The video began with Emma apologizing for her appearance, joking, “Today is Saturday, I just woke up,” and then encouraged followers who may also know someone with dementia to share their own experiences.
“So this is an appeal to photographers and vloggers who are trying to show exclusive footage of my husband, just keep your space. Please don’t yell at my husband asking him how he’s doing or whatever, just don’t do it. Give he belongs, let our family or whoever is with him on this day be able to get him safely from point A to point B,” Emma said.
Die Hard star Bruce Willis retired from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia.
