The aerial reconnaissance unit “Ptakhi Madyara” defended the fortress city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region for more than 100 days.
One of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is urgently withdrawn from the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. We are talking about the tactical aerial reconnaissance group “Madyar Birds”. Group commander Robert Brovdi spoke about this in his telegram channel on March 2.
“On March 2, in the middle of the night, the Ptakhi Madyar unit received a combat order to immediately leave Bakhmut for a new place of hostilities. What are the reasons for the transfer from Bakhmut when we spent 110 days on duty here? First of all, I am a military man, so I will not comment on the orders of the command defense of Bakhmut. I promised myself and you not to engage in politics. The question is not in the media and in the videos. In this war, I was and am a communicator, “said Robert Brovdi.
He added that he would continue to raise funds for the purchase of equipment necessary for aerial reconnaissance, purchased thanks to the financial support of caring Ukrainians.
At the time of publication of the material, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the operational command “Skhid” did not comment on the information about the withdrawal of the air reconnaissance unit from Bakhmut.
On February 28, the commander of a separate tactical aerial reconnaissance group “Ptakhi Madyar” Robert Brovdi spoke about the situation in Bakhmut, noting that the RF Armed Forces were trying to cordon off the city. Robert Brovdi said that it is now difficult for the Ukrainian defenders in all areas of Bakhmut.
The Russian Armed Forces temporarily curtailed efforts to encircle the fortress city of Bakhmut from the southwest, as well as from the northeast, the ISW said in a March 2 report. Russian troops are trying to put pressure on Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut to make a tactical retreat across the T0504 highway.
