This is unconfirmed information, but photos of trains loaded with armored personnel carriers have appeared on the network.

Judging by the pictures, five Boomerang armored personnel carriers are being transported – they are loaded onto railway platforms and are not covered by anything.
It should be noted that there are no official statements that the Boomerangs will be sent to the zone of the special operation. But the Ministry of Defense, as a rule, does not report some of its decisions.
It is only known that the composition with armored personnel carriers is moving towards Ukraine.

Boomerang is the most modern armored personnel carrier to date. As far as is known, he has not yet taken part in hostilities. Therefore, its appearance and use can be a big surprise for the enemy.
The Boomerang was first shown in 2013, after which it was seen on Red Square at the Victory Parade on May 9, 2022.
The combat vehicle has a number of interesting solutions. For example, its engine is mounted in the front and is well protected. Thanks to this, the landing is made through the stern, and not through the side or top, which is much safer.
The YaMZ-780 engine has a power of 750 hp. This allows the armored personnel carrier to reach speeds of up to 100 km / h on the highway. On rough terrain, off-road, the car can move at speeds up to 50 km / h (there is an automatic tire inflation system). Water barriers are not a hindrance for the Boomerang – it is able to swim at speeds up to 10 km / h.

The armored personnel carrier is armed with a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon, as well as a 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun. The Boomerang also has weapons against tanks – four anti-tank guided missiles, the flight range of which is up to 10 km. Ammunition is isolated from the passenger compartment and from the crew in case of detonation.
“Boomerang” carries up to 11 people and reliably protects them thanks to multilayer armor containing ceramics. Such a “sandwich” perfectly resists cumulative projectiles.
