The lawyer warned about the responsibility of the driver for deliberate actions.
The cost of travel on toll roads has increased significantly, by an average of 2.6 times. Some drivers have found ways to avoid paying tolls in the past by making plates illegible or removing them altogether. Now the temptation to save will be even greater.
But we don’t recommend it!
Master of Laws, member of the Russian Bar Association Anastasia Gormakova warned that the violator would still be found and punished, and the fine could be several times higher than the cost of a toll road.

Violators are detected automatically using photo and video fixators. Also, the highway operator, having discovered the lack of payment, transfers information about the violator to the traffic police and the administration of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Transport. The implementation of a deliberate act to hide numbers, as well as their removal, also entails responsibility for the driver, ”explained the expert.
The amount of an administrative fine for driving on a toll road without payment is 1,500 rubles for cars and 5,000 rubles for a truck or bus.
If the numbers are unreadable, the fine will be 500 rubles, if the numbers are located in an unintended place, modified or missing – 5,000 rubles or deprivation of rights.
