In the south of Ukraine, for shelling the right bank of the Dnieper, the Russians use all the weapons that can be brought up: MLRS, cannon artillery, mortars, tanks and attack UAVs.
Russian troops have changed the tactics of missile attacks on Ukraine in order to save money, using shells from the S-300 air defense system during the second wave of shelling. This was told in the operational command “South”.
On March 1, Russian troops reportedly carried out a missile attack using strategic aircraft. However, during the second wave of strikes, the Russians used ground-based S-300 systems, the shells of which were launched from the occupied territory of the Zaporozhye region.
“It is quite obvious that there is a certain saving of missiles, but the degree of threat of a missile strike is not decreasing,” the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
In addition, in southern Ukraine, Russian troops are shelling the right bank of the Dnieper using all the weapons that can be brought up: multiple launch rocket systems, cannon artillery, mortars, tanks, and also using attack drones. Private and multi-apartment buildings, courtyards, educational institutions, state enterprises fall under Russian fire.
“The enemy is deliberately destroying the social and industrial infrastructure of the region. Over the past day, 11 people were injured, including a one and a half year old child. Already today, during the first half of the day, at least 4 more people were injured,” the command said.
Recall that on the night of March 2, Russian troops launched a missile attack on a residential building in Zaporozhye. An S-300 air defense missile hit the apartment building and almost completely destroyed it. As a result, four people were killed, and the blast wave damaged neighboring houses.
On March 1, OK Yug reported that in the next two days the Russian Federation could carry out new massive rocket attacks on Ukraine. On the eve of the attack, the Russians use reconnaissance drones to detect Ukrainian air defenses.
