During the year of the full-scale invasion, the world saw three turning points of the war at once, the most striking of them is happening now. The Armed Forces of Ukraine show a complete desire for victory.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs told whether the high threat of invasion by the troops of the Russian Federation from the territory of Belarus remains today.
This is stated in a new interview with Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexander Shcherba to Channel 24.
At the moment, the Russian Federation does not have the strength to open another front from the north. The danger of a breakthrough may appear over time if the Russian army begins to redeploy from the Urals.
“As for the offensive from the north, we must trust our intelligence. And intelligence says that now there are not enough forces for this. If the Russians start redeploying the forces that are now holding beyond the Urals, then the danger will appear,” Alexander Shcherba said.
The Ambassador also noted three turning points that the world saw during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
The first is when Ukraine showed that it is impossible to break it and the Russian Federation will not win this war. We are talking about the moment when the Russian invaders had to retreat to the north.
The second point is the Ukrainian counter-offensive in September last year, which began in the Kharkiv region and continued in the Kherson region.
“It was an amazing operation, and our partners (and we ourselves!) saw that the Ukrainian army is able to drive this rubbish from our land, to be truly victorious,” says Oleksandr Shcherba.
The third tipping point, as the Ambassador noted, is happening now. Ukraine proves that it can not only hold its territories, but also win.
Recall that on March 1, the Armed Forces of Ukraine told how meteorologists help prepare an offensive. When the Kharkiv region was liberated, the Ukrainian military was able to build reliable crossings and move forward quickly thanks to the timely provision of hydrological information.
